Merging some fields from accounts and contacts.
Requirement:
- need under accounts min. one Record Type
- Org-Wide-Sharing-Settings
- Contact = “Controlled by Parent”
- Oder Account and Contact = “Privat”
- All profiles they have read permissions to accounts need read permissions to contacts
- If “Profile Filtering” is activated (User Management Settings), profiles need “View all” permissions
- after activation org is checking about requirements
- As soon as more than 1 person is working in a company it make no sense
to note:
- it is a mix of accouts and contact to hidden some fields
- Fields like Bithdate, Email and Title are only in Person Account
- needs more Storage Space
- Only Person Accounts can merge with other Person Accounts (Duplicated Accounts)
- Custom Formula Fields can not reference about Person Accounts
- No account hierarchy with Person Accounts
- If business and Person Accouts in use, than it needs one Record Types and Page Layout for each type.
- eg, some user groups or profiles use only one Type of accounts??
- Perhaps this should be tested in Sandbox, then it is activated, it can no longer be deactivated
- Workflow Rules and Assignments may need to be customize for Person Accounts (Merged Fields = not Name but FirstName/LastName)
- Create or Edit Reports and Dashboards
Salesforce Classic
- The Fields in the Quick Create area in SF Classic oriented about Record Type from Profile (business account or person account)
