Requirements

  • Various offers are created – one opportunity
  • not all = completion
  • CPQ checks 2 things – ensures – conversion correct offer
    • creates offer only if „Primary“ is activated
    • when creating 2nd offer „Primary“ of 1 offer is automatically disabled
    • additionally CPQ (Admin) can be configured like this
      • Primary = Active
      • Status = Approved
  • Permissions not enabled by default
    • Setup

    • Enable Require Approval Quote

Create Order – Quote

  • App Launcher – Salesforce CPQ
  • Accounts
  • All Accounts
  • Select appropriate account
  • Related – Tab
  • Quotes – Related List – select related quote
  • Related (Optional) – show the Quote Lines
  • Edit
  • Ordered – activate
  • Save

CPQ now creates a corresponding order.

Create multiple orders

First order

  • Accounts
  • All Accounts
  • Select appropriate account
  • Related
  • Quotes – Related List – select related quote
  • Create Order
  • Account Name – specify corresponding account
  • Specify Order Start Date
  • Quote – specify related quote
  • Save
  • Edit Order Products
  • Select product for this order
  • Save

Transfer remaining products to another order

  • Quotes
  • select appropriate quote
  • Edit
  • Activate Ordered
  • Save
  • Related
  • here you will find the additional order

Edit products

  • Orders
  • Open corresponding order
  • Edit Order Products
  • Deactivate or adjust product(s)
  • Save

Appointments

  • 4 date fields relevant
    • Start Date (Order)
    • End Date (Order)
    • Start Date (Order Product)
    • End Date (Order Product)
  • with Create Order, Start Date can be set
  • with checkbox Ordered – Start Date is set automatically
  • Start Date of the product must always be on or after the Order Start Date
    • Start Date of the product is dynamic
    • adapts itself accordingly when the Start Date of the Order is changed
